Rotary Valve FAQ's

In ESP applications, fly ash is extremely hot (often 200°C–400°C). Our Outboard Bearing design separates the bearings from the main valve housing. This prevents the heat from degrading the bearing grease and protects the bearings from fine ash contamination, ensuring the valve doesn't seize during operation.
If a rotary valve leaks air (blow-back), it disrupts the vacuum inside the ESP hopper. This air turbulence re-entrains the collected dust back into the gas stream, significantly reducing the ESP's efficiency. Our PYRAMID valves are machined to 0.1mm clearances to maintain a 100% airtight seal.

Yes. For highly abrasive applications, we offer valves with CI FG 260 casting or internal liners made of Hardox 450 or Sail Hard steel. This protects the internal casing and rotor tips from the scouring effect of abrasive particles.
